AdGuard Brings Advanced DNS Settings and Powerful Filtering Capabilities to Latest Release

The latest version of AdGuard, release 7.13.4287.0, has just been made available for download, bringing with it a host of exciting new features and improvements. One of the standout additions is the ability to select a response type when requesting a DNS domain that's been blocked by a filtering rule. This means you can choose from three options: reply with a 'Refused' error, reply with an 'NxDomain' error, or redirect to a specified domain.

In addition to this new feature, AdGuard has also introduced a new section in the advanced settings called 'Action applied to blocked DNS requests.' If you're not familiar with this feature, we highly recommend reading up on it and learning why DNS-over-QUIC is such a significant improvement over its predecessors, DNS-over-HTTPS and DNS-over-TLS. From now on, AdGuard supports the latest version of QUIC, making your browsing experience even more secure and private.

At the DNS level, there have been many changes made to our filters, making them even more flexible and powerful than before. This means you can expect to see a significant reduction in the number of ads and trackers that are able to get past AdGuard's defenses.

As well as these new features and improvements, we've also taken the time to update CoreLibs and DNSLibs, our main filtering engine, fixing various issues along the way. We've also made some tweaks to the filtering log to make it more user-friendly.
